On October 15, Longyuan Power Fujian Company carried out enhancement and release activity in the sea area near the Phase I project of offshore wind farm on Nanri Island, Putian, releasing black sea bream, red sea bream and Perinereis aibuhitensis and other fries totaling 45.172 million to effectively improve the ecological environment of the sea area, conserve fishery resources and promote the harmonious coexistence between man and nature. The activity was participated by personnel and relevant experts from the Fujian Provincial Department of Ocean and Fisheries, ecological environment bureau and other competent units of Xiuyu District, Putian City.
The release activity is a concrete action of the company to practice the theory of “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” and protect biodiversity. The company entrusted a fishery technology company with professional qualifications to prepare a special work plan, and determined the release address, fish species and release time in combination with the marine environmental impact assessment report of the project. The specification length of the fries put in this activity is no less than 5cm, including 17.278 million black sea breams, 17.254 million red sea breams and 10.64 million Perinereis aibuhitensis. By means of sampling inspection, the company organized fishery experts to conduct acceptance inspection on the length and survival rate of fish fries, so as to ensure the effectiveness of the activity. Under the joint supervision of relevant competent departments, the company marked some of the fries after the release to monitor and evaluate the release effect.
Nanri offshore wind farm Phase I project is the first offshore wind power project along the southeast coast. In the process of promoting the construction of the offshore project, the company actively cooperated with the local government to explore the comprehensive development and utilization mode of marine resources, such as "marine ranching", solidly carried out special demonstrations such as bird monitoring, underwater noise monitoring, compatibility analysis between offshore wind power and marine ranching, island protection planning, and adjusted and optimized the wind turbine layout scheme and submarine cable route for many times, which have laid a foundation for doing a good job in marine ecological protection.
The enhancement and release activity is carried out to enhance the biological resources in Putian sea area, build lucid waters and lush mountains on the sea, further improve people's awareness of common concern and care for the ocean, practice the concept of green development and promote the sustainable development of marine economy.
